It is 6:00 am on Wednesday morning and I'm laying in the back of our van writing this blog. We stayed at a KOA campground last night just outside of Colorado Springs. The wind is really blowing and it has been spitting rain for about the last hour. Sounds fun huh? The weather calls for rain across the east for the next couple of days and it is supposed to dry out by the weekend. We have really had a great time so far. Both Christine and I enjoy roadtrips and the time together is really special. Our plan today is to travel east on I70 and get across the great plains. Not sure how far we will go - our plan is to stop when we stop. We are learning a lot about how to live out of a car. There is not much room for moving around once you get in bed but it is extremely comfortable. Can you
believe we are doing this voluntaryly? Both pictures are from this morning of me writing the blog and of Christine sleeping. Our process for deciding where we go is pretty funny. Yesterday we were about a half mile from the junction of I40 and I25 where we were still trying to decide if we go east to Amarillo or North to Colorado. Sorry for any of you that love northern Texas - we don't. So here we are near Colorado Springs. We had lunch yesterday with one of my good friends, Greg Hobbs. Red Chili in New Mexico is the best in the world!
