It is cold today and we have had lots of rain. So don't be surprised. We haven't been camping lately and don't plan to camp anymore unless it gets warmer. Oh well, I guess it will be warm in Jamaica. :-)
We spent last night near Kirtland, Ohio, and visited a couple of church sites today. First we went to the Kirtland Temple and had a wonderful tour. The Community of Christ Church owns the building and have preserved the temple wonderfully. Good for them! It was very peaceful and had a good feeling about it.
Next, we visited Historic Kirtland where our Church maintains five or six buildings, two are original. My favorite is the Newel K Whitney store where Joseph Smith recieved many of the key revelations of the latter days. From this location he wrote about 60 sections of the Doctrine and Covenants. Newel Whitney kept maticulous records of his sales in the store. We were able to flip through his sales book and found many entries for purchases by one of my sixth generation grand fathers, Vinson Knight. Visiting Kirtland is one of the highlights of our trip.

Your trip sounds very enjoyable. I really enjoyed traveling to all the history sites. We just took the ward youth to Palmyra and Sharon and had a great time with wonderful spiritual experiences had in abundance!!!!
Sorry we missed you when you came to PEI...you were just 3 hours drive away!!!!
Hope the rest of your trip is enjoyable.
Spence- While in OH you should go to Cleavland and check out the rock and roll hall of fame. I went a while back and it is a lot of fun - google it.
